Cinosam Club Unapproved Minutes: July 1, 2017
Meeting called to order at 9:00AM by Vice-President, Tim Vescio.
Attended by Board Members: Ron McKitterick, John Klauk, Tim Vescio, Marc Kmecik, Tom Whitehead, Ginny Wendt, Richard Dillman, Julie Carroll, Mark Walters, Steve Bredeson and Kathy Becker.
Board Members not in Attendance: Mark McDonald and Kelly Spratt
Minutes: from the June 3, 2017 meeting were read by Kathy Becker. Motion to approve by Richard Dillman, second by John Klauk.
Treasurer’s Report: Tim Vescio read the May YTD Actual to Budget Financial Report. Dues were collected from 102 members. Revenue is $26,350 and expenses YTD are $19,278.60. Motion to approve by Ron McKitterick, second by Julie Carroll.
Guest Speaker Bill Brekken, Gull Lake Association member, shared the Association’s focus with the Board. Although Cinosam club is a member, Bill invited individual Cinosam members to join as well.
Committee Reports: SAC Jarrett Leas was not in attendance. Swim dock sections are purchased. Steve Bredeson volunteered to put the brackets on the dock sections. He and Tom Whitehead will begin putting them out. Mark and John Walters will present a bid for replacement of steps on lots 2 & 3 with work to be completed in the fall.
CLARC Diane Dillman encouraged continued work on previously noted projects.
Unfinished Business -Mark Kmecik will purchase two picnic tables to be used as samples and have them in the park by the 4th of July celebration. At a later date, the Board will determine whether to purchase more. -Tom Whitehead purchased 12 new flags. He noted that the flag in the park also needs to be replaced and that a high-quality stitched flag should be purchased. -New signs are in and Julie Carroll will paint the wooden side. She will also spruce up the sign at the highway.
New Business Board elections will be held at the annual meeting on August 5. Officer positions are a one-year term and four Board member positions are open; three positions are for three-year terms and one position is for a two-year term. Those interested in running for the board must submit their interest to any board member 30 days before August 5. More information can be found on the Cinosam web site.
Announcements Octoberfest is scheduled for Saturday, September 30.
