Cinosam Club Unapproved Minutes: June 4, 2016
Meeting called to order by President Mark McDonald at 9 am
Attended by: Mark McDonald, Levi Becker, John Klauck, Tim Vescio, Ginny Wendt, Tom Whitehead, Joey Halvorson, Jarrett Leas, Boots and Kathy Becker
Minutes: from the May 7, 2016 meeting were read by Kathy Becker. Motion to approve by Tim Vescio, second by Tom Whitehead. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: No report
Committee Reports: SAC Boat lifts are all in. Trevor has been paid. Trevor suggested repairing a few dock sections. There will be some old dock sections available to members after this season.
CLARC – No report
Old Business -Storm clean up. The Board thanked Boots for all his work on clean up including the construction of two rock gardens. One located at the main park and one on Round Lake. – There is no issue with the DNR to transplant and take down some trees. – Flowers have been bought and planted by Patty Klauck using the $100 donation from the Cinosam Ladies Club. – Discussed fence repair and painting at the main park. Plans are for John Klauck to power wash the fence this week. Volunteers will paint June 18. – Discussed ways to notify volunteers when projects are identified. – Eagle – Emails will be sent to members informing them of the opportunity to donate towards the eagle. This will also be announced at the 4th of July celebration. Deadline for donations is the week after the 4th of July. Any surplus funds will go to park maintenance. – Construction on stairs on out lot #4 continues.
New Business -Discussed 4th of July plans. We will handle the food the same as last year. Tom Whitehead will look into getting a flyover of Camp Ripley helicopters. Tom also suggested we go back to giving prizes for the best floats in the parade. Plans will be finalized at the July 2nd meeting. -Wadeen Baribeau donated a water pump for use on Round Lake. – Discussed use of park by members for family gatherings etc. Members should notify a Board member of their plans, realize there are no bathroom facilities and take care of all clean up. This includes removing any resulting garbage from park. -Discussed memorials. Members must contact Boots about location of any trees or shrubs. Plaques are discouraged unless they are attached to a donated bench, picnic table, etc. -Ginny asked about the role of the Long Range Planning Committee. -Jarret suggested surveying members for ideas on needs of Cinosam property. He will create a survey and give it to Mark. -Citing examples of the work done on out lot #2 to prevent ice damage and damage to the berm on Round Lake, Mark suggested we more carefully research such projects in the future. -Tom Whitehead noted that the flags need repair. He volunteered to put them up for each occasion but does not have room to store them.
