Cinosam Club members and their families can now enjoy a nice sandy beach when they come down for swimming or sunning.
Thanks to Boots for coordinating the effort and several other volunteers who spent time cleaning up the charred remains of the fire, shoveling the weeds that drifted on shore, preparing the beach area and getting the washed sand delivered and spread.
We now have a great beach for families of Cinosam members instead of families of ducks. Come on down, bring your lawn chairs, towels, pails and shovels and enjoy!
A special thank you to Steve Bredeson for the beautiful new sign we can all enjoy as we turn on to Cinosam Road.
Steve took down the old sign and constructed a completely new one out of cedar, stained it, and installed mulch in the underlying garden. The new Cinosam sign is made from metal so it will last for many years. A flag pole connection is on the side for our special events.
Also in the works is an enclosure for Cinosam announcements. We are lucky to have a talented volunteer in Steve!
Come and join us for the Cinosam Club Annual Meeting on Saturday August 5th at 9:00AM in the park. In case of rain, the meeting will be held on Sunday at 9AM
The Agenda is as follows:
There is nothing like a Cinosam 4th of July parade, celebration and picnic lunch. We all know we live in a very special community and it is never more apparent than when we come together to celebrate the 4th of July holiday.
We also know that it would never happen without the efforts of our volunteers who worked to cut the grass, decorate the park, obtain, prepare and serve the food, and clean up after the event.
Thank you to Tim and Maria Vescio, Tom Whitehead, Gary Zurn, Steve Bredeson and his son, Mark Elson, Ginny Wendt, Waydeen Baribeau, Joey Halvorson, and many others that I may have omitted.
A new Cinosam sign was installed in the park just in time for the 4th of July celebration. It looks great and will be resistant to our crazy weather for years to come.
Thank you to Tom and Denise Whitehead for getting the design and printing completed, to John Klauck for obtaining the electronic image and to Boots for installing the sign in the existing frame.
Don’t worry, we didn’t lose the historical old sign, Tom made sure it remained on the reverse side.
